(Harlan) The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office reports four arrests from February 9 through February 13.
*On February 13, authorities arrested 34-year-old Jeremy Carrier-Tischer from Harlan after a traffic stop along Center St in Shelby. Upon further investigation, it was learned that Carrier-Tischer’s driving privileges are suspended through the State of Iowa, and he had an active warrant out of Pottawattamie County. Carrier-Tischer was charged with driving while suspended and taken into custody without incident and transferred to the jail, where he was released a short time later after posting both required surety bonds.
*On February 11, deputies arrested 40-year-old Bryan Christopher Heller for driving while suspended in Shelby County after a traffic stop along Peach Road. He was taken into custody without incident and transferred to the jail, where he was released the following morning on his own recognizance.
*On February 9, authorities arrested Croix Karl Brink following a traffic stop along Highway 191 and F32 in Shelby County. Upon further investigation, Brink was charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), possession of drug paraphernalia, and fined for an improper registration plate lamp. Brink was taken into custody without incident and transferred to jail. Brink was booked into jail and held under a $1300 bond, where he was released the following morning under his own recognizance.
*On February 9, authorities were dispatched to a residence in Shelby along Station Street for a domestic assault situation. Upon further investigation and visible injuries, 33-year-old Amanda Jean Thurman was taken into custody and formally charged with domestic abuse assault with injury. She was held without bond until her initial appearance the following morning and released on her own recognizance the following morning.
