(Council Bluffs) A Nebraska man was arrested on a theft charge in Pottawattamie County.
The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office says a Deputy was dispatched to the 19 mile marker on February 9th for a possible stolen car. The caller stated he gave the male a ride to the Underwood truck stop and dropped him off. The caller stated the male advised him that the car was stolen. The male fitting the description was located at the motel across the parking lot from the truck stop. The Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Christopher Petri, of Sidney, Nebraska, for Theft 1st – Possession of Stolen Property.
In other activity, Jayden Dean Moyers, 19, was arrested January 28th on a warrant for Failure to Appear on an OWI charge.
Walter David Mercado, 36, was arrested following a traffic stop in the 31000 block of Highway 92 on January 29th. Mercado was charged with Failure to Maintain Control of Motor Vehicle, Open Container, Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense, and Reckless Driving.
Brenda Lee Mercil, 60, was arrested January 29th on a warrant for Theft 4th.
Pyerre Barnes, 25, was arrested following a traffic stop at Highway 6 and 238th Street on January 31st. Barnes had a warrant out of Nebraska and was arrested for Fugitive from Justice.
Rodney Duane Hubbard, 31, was arrested on February 1st in Minden for Domestic Abuse Assault 1st Offense Causing Bodily Injury and Child Endangerment.
Israel Salvador Manzanares Cruz, 32, of Council Bluffs, was arrested following a traffic stop at N 16th Street and Avenue J on February 3rd. He was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury or Mental Illness, Disobedience to Signs and Signals and Operation without a Valid License.
Mariah Lee Beckwith, 27, turned herself in February 3rd on a warrant for Violation of Probation.
Jennifer Marie Heywood, 37, was arrested February 4th on warrants for Failure to Appear, Forgery, Perjury, and Theft 3rd.
Dylan Reid Schmielau, 30, was arrested following a traffic stop at Highway 6 and 245th Street on February 9th. Schmielau was charged with Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense.
