(Dallas Co.) One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Dallas County Tuesday evening.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident occurred on P58, one mile south of Perry, at 10:54 p.m. 40-year-old Danyel Denise Hardisty, of Minburn, was killed in the accident. 53-year-old Stephen Joseph Wink, of Council Bluffs, was transported to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines by Dallas County EMS. A 7-year-old child from Minburn was transported to Blank Children’s Hospital by Dallas County EMS.
According to the report, Stephen Wink was driving a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta south on P58 when he crossed over into the northbound lane and crashed head-on into a 2001 Toyota Echo, driven by Danyel Hardisty.
The Iowa State Patrol says impairment is suspected at the time of the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
