(Red Oak) Red Oak Police issued a Red Oak man two citations and a warning following a two-vehicle accident.
Police say the crash occurred at 7:08 p.m. on Saturday at Highway 34 and North 8th Street. According to the press release, 60-year old Debra Sue Robertson of Clarinda drove an eastbound 2020 Chevy Equinox on Highway 34. Robertson signaled and merged in the far right lane. A northbound 2006 Dodge Durango driven by 30-year old Jerry Lee Lievsay of Red Oak stopped on North 8th Street and proceeded into the Equinox path. The Equinox struck the back quarter panel of the Durango. The Equinox came to rest in the middle of Highway 34 with deployed airbags. The Durango spun around and came to rest facing south on N. 8th Street. No one was injured in the crash.
Police cited Lievsay for having no insurance, failure to yield. Additionally, Officers issued Lievsay a warning for fraudulent use of registration.
