(Atlantic) The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says the Grandparent Scam continues.
With this scam, the caller claims to be a grandchild who is in trouble and needs a sum of money to get out of jail.
If you receive a call like this, try to contact your grandchild or another family member to determine if the call is legitimate. Never wire money over the phone or in an email, especially overseas. Once the money is sent, you cannot get it back.
