(Des Moines) The Restaurant and Bar Relief Grant Program’s sign-up starts at noon on Monday, February 1.
Cass/Atlantic Development Corporation Executive Director Jennifer McEtaffer says the grant program will provide eligible businesses with a one-time grant to assist with short-term cash flow. “These businesses have been through a lot,” said McEntaffer. “Eligible businesses just need to show a 15-percentage loss in 2020 to qualify.”
McEntaffer says eligible businesses include; restaurants, bars, breweries, distilleries, brewpubs, wineries, and any new business startups after April 1, 2020. She says the grant award is based on the percentage of gross sales lost. The maximum award is $25,000.00.
McEntaffer says anyone with a question can contact Sue or Michael at the Small Business Development Center through Iowa Western Community College. The application can also be filled out online at iowabusinessrecovery.com.
