(Audubon) The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Audubon County Public Health have identified 2 additional cases of COVID-19 in the county for a total of four. Out of these four cases two have recovered an older adult aged 61-80 and an elderly adult 81 or greater. The first new case is an older adult between the ages of 61-80 and the second new case is a middle age adult between the ages of 41-60.
Contact tracing has begun on both of these cases, that is any person who has been in contact and spent 30 minutes or more within 6 feet of a case will be contacted by Audubon County Public Health or the Iowa Department of Public Health.
All residents should:
- Stay home as much as possible. Leave only for essential errands like groceries or getting medication. When you run these errands, send only one person from the household, if possible.
- Stay home when even mildly ill.
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow/upper arm.
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
