One Person Hurt in Motorcycle Crash in Eastern Iowa

(Dubuque County) A motorcycle driver suffered injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Dubuque County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 2:13 p.m. at 2789 on County Road D61. Authorities say 61-year-old Chester Lee Sutton of Maquoketa was injured in the crash.

According to the report, Sutton was driving an eastbound 1980 Honda UK on County Road D61, drifted onto the shoulder, lost control, and was ejected from the vehicle. Both Sutton and the motorcycle ended up in the south ditch.

Cascade ambulance transported Sutton to Mercy One Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Jones County Sheriff’s Office, Cascade Fire and Rescue, EMS, and Koob Towing.
