(Washinton, D.C.) The coronavirus outbreak in the U.S. has forced companies to alter the way they do everyday business. The Farm Service Agency and U.S. Department of Agriculture are no exception. Bill Northey is USDA Undersecretary for Farm Production and Conservation. He says they’ve had to make some changes to the way they do things in an effort to make sure producers can still access the programs they need.
He says all it takes is a phone call to get help from your local Farm Service Agency office.
They may need to change some program signup deadlines in the near future as well.
Northey says his agency knows the changes will make it a less convenient way to do business but they’ll do their best to make it as simple as possible.
