The Lady Vikes win another game in dramatic fashion. Kinsey Scheffler’s put back as time expired sends #13 AHSTW into a rematch with 11th rated Nodaway Valley on Friday. The Lady Vikes are 19-3 on the season. Two of their last three games have been decided by two points.
CAM 59, Riverside 28
The Cougars improve to 16-6 with their third straight win. The home squad shook off a slow start with 25 points in the 2nd quarter and 22 more in the 3rd. They led 9-6 after the first, but took a 34-16 halftime lead. Zoey Baylor was 6/10 from the field with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Sammi Jahde was 4/5 from long range to score 12 points. Marissa Spieker knocked in a pair of 3’s and finished with 9 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Mallory Behnken notched 9 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Up next is 17-5 Woodbury Central. Riverside bows out at 4-19.
Exira-EHK 66, Sidney 49
Tatum Grubbs scored 24 points and Macy Emgarten contributed 16. The 8th ranked Spartans win their 20th straight game. They’ll host 21-2 Stanton on Friday. Maddy Duncan led Sidney with 27 points.
Nodaway Valley 56, Treynor 50
The #11 Wolverines move to 20-2 on the season and push their win streak to 10 games. Maddax DeVault scored 21 of her 27 points in the first half. Alyssa Davis scored 10. Mandy Stogdill led Treynor with 21 points. The junior hit 12/13 free-throws including all nine of her tries in the 2nd half. Treynor hit six 3-pointers in the 2nd half.
Panorama 58, ACGC 53
ACGC made a run at the 15th rated Panthers, but couldn’t hold onto their 27-24 halftime lead. Panorama took a 42-40 lead by the start of the 4th quarter and outscored the Chargers 16-13 in the final quarter. ACGC ends the year at 11-11. EmmaKay McClain had 22 points. Kylie Young scored 14.
Stanton 50, Audubon 38
Stanton held a two possession lead for most of the 2nd half and swelled it to a double figure edge by making six straight free-throws in the 4th quarter. Jenna Stephens scored 17 and Marleigh Johnson had 10. Audubon was led by Jaci Christensen’s 17 points with 14 from Aleah Hermansen.
