(Griswold) Stanton notched their sixth win in seven outings Friday night when they went to Griswold and beat the Tigers 60-26. Griswold scored the first five points of the game, but the advantage was short lived.
Tyler Peterson scored 18 points and Colby Royal provided a spark off the bench with 15 as the Vikings stormed their way to a 25-4 second quarter advantage. With their strong defense and fast paced offense, Kevin Blunt’s squad quickly turned a 5-0 deficit into a 27-7 edge and led 39-11 by the end of the first half. Carter Johnson joined Peterson and Royal in double figures with a 13 point outing.
Griswold got 13 points from Jayden Amend in the loss while Lane Mueller scored 11. The Tigers were able to play fairly even with their Corner Conference counterpart throughout the second half, being outscored by just two in the third quarter and four points in the fourth.
