Star Gazing
Prairie Rose State Park, Road M47, Harlan, IA, USA
Thu Feb 8, 2024 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM (CST)
Christina Roelofs, Naturalist for Shelby County Conservation, will host a Stargazing event on Thursday, February 8, at 6:30 p.m. They will meet at campsite 85 in the west campground of Prairie Rose and walk to the dam to get away from the lights. We will use a green laser pointer to identify stars, planets, and constellations (it looks like it touches the stars). We will talk about some of the stories of the constellations. If there are any changes to the program, it will be posted on the Friends of Prairie Rose State Park Facebook page.
