(Coburg) Two people suffered serious injuries in a head-on collision in Montgomery County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 6:20 a.m. at D Avenue and 270th Street just west of Coburg. Authorities say 19-year old Kammi Conrade, of Red Oak, and 30-year old Jacob Woods, of Shenandoah, were injured in the crash.
According to the accident report, Conrade was driving a 2001 Ford F150 southbound on D Avenue and a northbound 1998 S10 Chevy pickup driven by Woods collided head-on just below the crest of a hill.
LifeNet airlifted both Conrade and Woods to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Red Oak Fire and Rescue and the Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency assisted the Iowa State Patrol.
