(Elk Horn, IA) — Exira EHK’s volleyball team did not win as many games as they would have liked but still had a solid season at 11-17 but 5-4 in the conference and got a playoff win.
Senior Taryn Petersen leaves with a lot of records in her pocket — she has the record for kills in a match, kills in a season and career kills at the school. Head Coach Derek Reischauer says she is the best athlete he has ever coached but Petersen’s contributions went beyond the stat sheet
Preparing for next year, if Reischauer had one wish for his Spartans it would be this
Exira EHK will return five starters — Sophomores Aubrey Nelson, Brooklyn Brabham and Andi Risegaard plus Juniors Brooklyn Snider and Zoey Rasmussen who had 489 assists as setter and has become a player for Reischauer to build around
Besides Taryn Petersen, the other senior for Exira EHK is Kylie Christensen.
