(Council Bluffs) The driver of a motorcycle suffered severe injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Council Bluffs.
Police say it happened at 5:07 p.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of South 6th Street and 16th Avenue.
Authorities say a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on South 6th Street stopped at a sign. Subsequently, the Jeep proceeded into the intersection and struck a 2014 motorcycle traveling eastbound on 16th Avenue. The driver of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries. A ground ambulance transported the driver to the Nebraska Medical Center.
Officers issued the Jeep driver a citation for Entering Unsafe Roadway.
The Council Bluffs Traffic Unit is investigating the accident.
