(Treynor, IA) — Treynor has clinched a district title and the number one seed out of District 8 and will finish the regular season Friday at Missouri Valley. If the Cardinals want to go far in the playoffs, they will have to do it without RB/LB Finn Mieska who has a broken arm and is out for the season. Head Coach Jeff Casey says Dylan Dreyer takes over as starter and Cameron Lane will get more carries as well
Freshman Landan Frain also moves up to the depth chart — he got in the game last week in a 69-6 win over Red Oak and got 14 carries for 74 yards.
On defense, Treynor is getting great play from Linebacker Austin Moss who is 2nd on the team in tackles with 35.5. Casey says he is a throwback type of hard nosed LB
Treynor’s only loss was Week Two to Van Meter by a touchdown. Casey feels like it was ages ago and his football has come a long way since then
The Cards finish up at one win Mo Valley who Casey says will be playing for pride
#4 ranked and 6-1 Treynor visits 1-7 Missouri Valley
