(Black Hawk Co.) One person was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Black Hawk County this (Wednesday) morning.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2013 Ford C-Max was traveling east on Independence Avenue early this (Wednesday) morning when it left the roadway to the right.
The vehicle struck a fence and a tree before coming to rest against a second tree. The vehicle was discovered several hours later, and the driver was pronounced dead.
The driver’s name is being withheld pending notification of family.
The crash remains under investigation.
