(Harlan, IA) — Harlan cross country had their home meet canceled on Saturday but they have picked up a meet tonight at Glenwood. On Tuesday, Senior Jeffrey Gross broke a school record finishing 2nd at the Tri Center meet with a time of 16:13.3. Head Coach Zach Klaassen says he has been healthy — cross fingers — all season
Senior Erik Heslink and Sophomore Brogen Schechinger have been the 2 and 3 runners for the Cyclones. Klaassen is hoping for lower times in the 4 and 5 spots
On the girls side, Junior Ashlyn Rau and Sophomore Julia Heslink continue to lead the way. Klaassen says they got off to a fast start and the times rose but they are starting to go back down again
Klaassen says everybody on varsity improved on times last Tuesday and he hopes it continues that way today in Glenwood.
