(Boone, IA) — Audubon competed at the Class 1A Boys Tennis districts on Saturday.
Fred Harris and Kayden Otten won in the first round of doubles 6-0, 6-1 over Webster City (Fabian Ferto-Holdgrafer/Vincent Bittner) but were eliminated in the quarterfinals against Boone (Strummer Grout/Cal Jordan) 6-0, 6-0.
Nathan Campeau and Karl Nagel lost their only match 6-1, 6-0 to Boone (Samuel Chestnut/Brandon Holm).
Bishop Heelan (John-Paul Judice/Easton Lubarski) won the doubles bracket over Grout and Jordan of Boone 6-1, 6-2 but both teams advance to state.
Owen Galvin of Denison Schleswig advanced all the way to the finals and will therefore advance to state. Grant Fink won the first two rounds for the Monarchs but lost in the semis to Kaden Marshall of Newton.
