(Neola, IA) — Tri Center’s golf teams could be making some noise on the course around regional and district time. Both teams have been able to avoid raindrops and get in seven meets this season which is a lot more than most teams. The girls are led by Sophomore Cameron Way who is averaging 42.67 for nine holes and has a low round of 36. Head Coach Brad Huseman says she puts in the time necessary
Sophomore Delainey Dollen is #2 for the Trojans with a 48.83 average and a low round of 45; Huseman says they have changed her swing and her best golf is ahead of her. Senior Avery Assman is the #3 player and Huseman says the #4 scorer has rotated among Freshmen Kinsey Leinen and Ava Waller and Juniors Joanna Cook and Jozie Payne.
The boys have a depth of golfers who all have the ability to go low says Huseman
Huseman says that his golfers have a chance at going all the way to state but it depends on where they are going for districts
Tri Center had Thursday’s triangular at Boyer Valley postponed; next up is a dual on Monday at AHSTW.
