(Ames, IA) — ADM graduate Aiden Flora is in the minority on the Iowa St. football team — he is a returning player. The Cyclones have had to dramatically overhaul their roster with the departure of Matt Campbell and the arrival of Jimmy Rogers. A sophomore running back who has played mostly on special teams, Flora will get the opportunity to get more carries this year so he is trying to bulk up
On special teams, Flora is one of the Big 12’s best return men, earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors as a specialist — he led the Big 12 in put returns and averaged 26.1 yards with one touchdown on eight punt returns. There were only three punt returns for a TD in the conference and one of them was by Flora.
With so many new faces during spring practice, Flora has assumed a leadership role with Iowa St. and is starting to see other guys develop confidence
Flora is a walk on redshirt sophomore for Iowa St. — spring practice continues through the spring showcase game next Saturday, April 25.
