(Afton, IA) — CAM track and field had a big night at the East Union Co-Ed meet on Monday night. The Cougar girls won with 108 points ahead of Bedford in 2nd place with 93. East Union was third with 91. CAM’s boys were 2nd with 119 points while Bedford ran away from everybody with 152 points. Lenox was third with 82.
Ada Hansen was a four time winner for CAM winning the 100 Hurdles (15.53) and 400 Hurdles (1:05.21) plus anchored the Sprint Medley relay with Brookelyn Steffen, Brylee Steffen and Ruthie Rich at 1:57.31 and was part of the 4×100 relay with the same three girls that won at 51.93.
Also for the CAM girls, Courtney Follmann was 2nd in the Discus (104-05); Rich was 2nd in the 100 meter dash (13.56); Brylee Steffen was 3rd in the 200 (28.42); Stella Beattie was 3rd in the Shot Put (32-03.50); Bailey Lillard was 4th in the Shot Put (32-02.50); and Nadia South was 5th in the Long Jump (14-02).
Cohen McCann won the 200 for the boys at 23.14 seconds and was 2nd in the 100 (11.59). McCann also anchored the 4×200 relay to a win with Carson McKee, Kayden Winther, and Collin Bower (1:33.88). The Sprint Medley relay also won with Seth Williams, Josh Freese, Damian Erickson and Zach Kauffmann (1:43.63).
Also for the CAM boys, Winther 2nd in the Long Jump (19-04); Kauffmann was 2nd in the 1600 (5:04.78) and 4th in the 800 (2:12.02); McKee was 2nd in the 400 Hurdles (59.17) and 3rd in the 100 (11.62); Jace Hardisty 2nd in the Discus (153-08); Bower 3rd in the 110 Hurdles (16.26); Ethan Chaney 3rd in the 3200 (12:02.02); Kayden Winther 4th in the 200 (24.21); Drew Barber 4th in the Discus (128-05)
