(Guthrie Center, IA) — Guthrie County Health Services Director Jotham Arber presented a department update at Tuesday’s Supervisors meeting. Arber requested $29.000 be spent on opioid treatment for a couple of different reasons
Arber also says the police officers need opioid response kits primarily for emergency medical response, safe disposal, and drug testing and Arber wants to make sure all law enforcement in the county would have those kits in their vehicles. The supervisors unanimously approved the request.
Arber also reported that the county has received a record amount of garbage recently
Arber also says they will start inspecting pools soon and he recommends that residents who have well water get it tested if it has not been so in a while — he mentions that there is free testing available with the county public health.
