(Treynor, IA) — Treynor hosted a girls relay meet on Monday night and won it with 176 points well ahead of Lewis Central at 131.5. The race of the night was the 4×100 relay where the Cardinals beat the Titans by .06 seconds (50.64 to 50.70). Treynor’s time is a season best and is ranked in the top 30 in the state (Josie Meyers, Rylee Hemmingsen, Nora Konz, Joslyn Chambers). LC’s time is also a season best and will also get them into the Drake Relays.
Sophia Fenner of Riverside got a season PR in the Shot Put with a throw of 40-03.25 and went from the outside the Drake Relays field to a good chance of making it for another season. Fenner was ranked 25th in the state and now is 13th. The top 24 make it to the Drake Relays. Fenner also finished 3rd in the Discus (96-02)
