(Council Bluffs) Pottawattamie Conservation is asking artists of all ages to share their creative Pottawattamie County park-themed t-shirt designs for a chance to have their creations featured on apparel and merchandise that will support local conservation projects and park improvements. Winners will also receive an annual park membership, a free cabin stay, one lift ticket to Crescent Hill at Hitchcock, and a t-shirt featuring their design.
“This is a fun opportunity for community members to express their creativity and their love for our unique natural areas here in Pottawattamie County, all while supporting vital conservation work,” said Pottawattamie Conservation community outreach manager Kylie Jacott. “Our visitors know our parks best, and we can’t wait to see how competition participants transform their park experiences into eye-catching designs.”
The 2026 Pottawattamie Conservation Park T-Shirt Design Contest is open to the public and all ages, including children and students. Designs may embody any or all county parks, including Arrowhead Park in Neola, Botna Bend Park in Hancock, Hitchcock Nature Center or Crescent Hill at Hitchcock in Honey Creek, Narrows River Park in Council Bluffs, or Olde Town Park in Macedonia. Possible themes to incorporate may include (but are not limited to) hiking trails, camping, bison and elk, fishing, kayaking/canoeing, the Loess Hills, native species and wildlife, skiing, or snowboarding.
Entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on April 30th, 2026 by email. Submission and design rules and guidelines, which are available at pottconservation.com, must be followed to qualify. Winners will be announced on May 17th and apparel will be available for purchase online in late May. Apparel will also be available at Hitchcock Nature Center’s Loess Hills Lodge later this summer and at the Crescent Hill at Hitchcock lodge during the 2026-2027 ski season.
