(Pottawattamie Co.) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors recognized Donna Rassmussen, a Clerk in the Treasurer’s Office, for her 26 1/2 years of dedicated service and her retirement.
The board presented Rassmussen with a commemorative coin to honor her outstanding service and dedication.
In other activity, the Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a resolution to move forward with electronic bidding for the sale of notes to fund public safety communication upgrades. The project will support the acquisition and installation of equipment including new towers, microwave systems and communication consoles for emergency responders. The Supervisors authorized the use of both sealed and electronic bids, including the SPEERAUCTION system, saying the approach will maintain a secure and competitive bidding process while improving access for interested buyers.
The Supervisors also approved the VSO Commissioner Selection Committee’s recommendation to appoint ex-officio member Steve Houston to the vacant voting member seat, with a term expiring June 30, 2027. They also approved awarding the contract for mold remediation at the Central Shop to JAMCO Abatement Services.
