(Des Moines) A severe thunderstorm rolled through portions of southwest and central Iowa on Monday evening. The National Weather Service issued severe thunderstorm warnings for Audubon, northeastern Cass, northern Adair, and Guthrie Counties. A trained weather spotter reported 1-inch hail six miles northeast of Marne. The severe storms rolled into central Iowa, with numerous reports of hail and high wind gusts up to 56 miles per hour in portions of Polk County.
