(Des Moines) The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is postponing the trout stockings scheduled for tomorrow, January 22, at Bacon Creek Lake, Sioux City, and this Friday, January 23, at Moorland Pond, Fort Dodge, and Big Lake, Council Bluffs, due to extreme cold weather and high winds.
The Bacon Creek Lake stocking is now scheduled for January 27. The Moorland Pond and Big Lake stockings are now scheduled for January 28.
