(Atlantic) The Atlantic girls’ and boys’ basketball teams will play host to Lewis Central tonight. The Atlantic boys’ team enters the contest with a 2-3 record. Lewis Central carries a 3-1 record into tonight’s matchup.
The Lewis Central girls are 1-5, and Atlantic is 4-3. Atlantic Head Girl’s Basketball Coach Dan Vargason says practices have gone well over the past couple of days following Tuesday’s loss to Kuemper.
Macy Vetter leads the Titans in scoring, averaging 12.40 points per game.
Coach Vargason says the goals tonight are to get the offense going and force turnovers.
Zoey Kirchhoff leads the Trojans, averaging 10.86 points per contest. Makenna Schroede,r who leads the team in three-point goals with 11, is averaging 9.29, and Katrina Williams is scoring at 8.29 average per outing. The Trojans are averaging 45.57 points per game—the Titans average 29.83.
