(Glenwood, IA) — Atlantic Boys and Girls Track and Field teams had a big night at the Ram Relays on Monday. The boys won the meet with 119 points with Lewis Central in 2nd place with 95.5. The Trojan girls finished in 2nd place — Glenwood won with 143 points with Atlantic at 120.5.
Ethan McNeal was a double winner for Atlantic, winning the 100 meter dash (10.97) and Long Jump (21-09.50, season PR); McNeal was also third in the 200 (22.77). Colin Rudy won the 400 (53.00) with Holden DeVore in 2nd place (53.70, season PR). The boys 4×800 also got a win with Mason Betts, Landon Hagen, Sawyer Tarrell and Rudy with a time of 8:32.21 which is a season best time.
Other solid finishes for the Trojan boys included Tarrell 2nd in 400 Hurdles (57.58); Zander Killion 3rd in the 110 Hurdles (15.33, season PR); Betts 3rd in the 1600 (4:41.93); Thomas Engler 3rd in the 3200 (11:16.80); Gavin McLaren 3rd in Shot Put (53-02.50). The Sprint Medley, 4×400, and Distance Medley all finished in third place.

On the girls side, Atlantic won the Shuttle Hurdle Relay with Aiza Jones, Emerie Jones, Adler Bruce and Jayci Reed with a time of 1:10.60. The 4×200 relay won with Lila Wiederstein, Braeleigh Hass, Allison Middents, and Stellah Van Aernam with a time of 1:47.83. Van Arenam also won the 100 meter dash (12.68).
Jayci Reed had a strong time in the 100 Hurdles with a new overall PR of 15.38 seconds and finished in 2nd place behind Megan Hughes of Glenwood at 15.31. Hughes is now ranked 5th in Class 3A and Reed is 7th. Emerie Jones was 3rd in the 100 Hurdles (16.10, season PR). Wiederstein 2nd in the Long Jump (17-00) and 3rd in the 200 (26.86); Gabrielle Engler 3rd in the 3000 (12:17.21, season PR by 7 seconds); Faith Larsen 3rd in the Shot Put (32-08); Olivia Olson 4th in the Shot Put (32-06.50); Adler Bruce 4th in the 400 Hurdles (1:14.41).
The Sprint Medley relay was 2nd but posted a season PR of 1:55.10 with Reed, Middents, Van Aernam and Hass.
