(Adair Co.) Several arrests were reported in Adair County last week, with law enforcement agencies taking individuals into custody on charges ranging from assault and harassment to OWI and insurance fraud.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Carli Danae Venhaus, of Stuart, on December 7th on a warrant for Harassment 1st Degree and Assault Causing Bodily Injury or Mental Illness. Bond was set at $2,000. Venhaus was released on bond the following day.
The Stuart Police Department arrested 21-year-old Hilario Ramos Garcia, of Stuart, following a traffic stop on December 9th. Ramos Garcia was charged with OWI 1st Offense, Disorderly Conduct – Fighting/Violent Behavior, Interference with Official Acts, and Harassment 1st Degree. He was held on $2,000 cash or surety bond on the state charges and additionally on an ICE detainer and arrest warrant.
The Greenfield Police Department arrested 41-year-old Derik Wayne Bud Pickrell, of Fontanelle, on December 11th for Domestic Abuse Assault Impeding Air/Blood Flow Causing Bodily Injury and Driving While Barred. Bond was set at $5,000. Pickrell was released on bond later that day.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Robert Edward Stringer, of Greenfield, on December 11th on a warrant for Insurance Fraud – Presenting False Information. According to the report, Stringer emailed a detailed spreadsheet to his insurance provider listing items he claimed were lost during a tornado. Investigators determined that many of the listed items were either significantly overvalued or were never owned by Stringer. Bond was set at $1,000 cash or surety. Stringer was released on bond the following day.
