(Council Bluffs) Iowa Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Biologist John Lorenzen says Big Lake in Council Bluffs will receive 1,000 Rainbow Trout in the first of two stockings at 3:00 p.m. on October 29.
Lorenzen says that to fish for trout, a trout stamp is required. This fee goes towards the production of trout in the DNR hatcheries, since they cost significantly more to raise than most of their fish
Lorenzen says anyone interested in catching rainbow trout should head to Big Lake at 3:00 p.m. on October 29.
