(Atlantic) The Atlantic High School and Middle School Marching Bands achieved notable success at the 70th Annual Southwest Iowa Band Jamboree held in Clarinda. The eighth-grade marching band from Atlantic Middle School secured first place in the Class I Middle School Division, while the Atlantic High School Band earned second place in Class 3A.
Jared O’Donnell, the Instrumental Music Director at Atlantic High School, expressed that it has been a fantastic competition for the bands to participate in.
O’Donnell says there are three separate Judges.
The Atlantic High School Band will perform at halftime during the football game against Harlan on October 17. The Middle School Band will also be performing that night.
