(Atlantic) The Cass County Library Association will hold a Pizza, Puzzle, & Pub Night on Saturday, April 12th at the Venue in Atlantic to raise funds for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program in Cass County. The event is a race to complete a 300-piece puzzle, eat a large pizza, and drink 12 bottled or canned beverages. Those who choose to drink an alcoholic beverage should come with appropriate ID. Teams of 4 can register for $120 and individuals can watch the event for $10. There will be other “puzzle up” opportunities for an extra charge during the event. Teams that come in costume with a spring or garden theme will earn a free puzzle up. Cash bar will also be open and tips are encouraged.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that sends a book each month to registered children under 5 years old. CCLA raises funds to cover the cost of the books. It takes about $27 to send one child books for one year. Over 500 children in Cass County have been enrolled with 358 children currently receiving books each month.
Registration for the fundraiser (including payment by cash or check) is required by April 7 using the online form or a paper form at your local library.
