(Coburg) At 4:13 p.m. on Sunday, the Red Oak FD, Stanton FD, and Essex FD were dispatched to a ditch fire at 270th & Pine in Coburg, which was spreading toward residential structures.
Upon arrival, crews found the fire originating from an outdoor fire pit, extending along the northern road ditch of 270th and into multiple residential backyards.
Firefighters quickly contained the blaze before it reached any structures or outbuildings.
REMINDER: Montgomery County remains under a burn ban.
No structural damage or injuries were reported.
