(Ames) The No. #2 Iowa State men’s basketball team extends its winning streak to 12 with a 74-57 win over No.10 Kansas last night at Hilton Coliseum in Ames. The 12-game winning streak is unmatched by anyone in the country. On top of that, the Cyclones have won 28 straight games on their home court. The win also marked the Cyclones’ third straight victory at home against the Jayhawks.
ISU Head Coach T.J. Otzelberger spoke highly of his team’s effort after the game.
The Cyclones led for 36 minutes in the contest. Tamin Lipsey had two key three-point baskets down the stretch. Coach Otzelberger noted those two baskets played a big factor in the second half.
Curtis Jones led the way with 25 points, 5-6 from behind the three-point line and six rebounds. Dishon Jackson scored 17, Joshua Jefferson 10 points, and 12 rebounds. Lipsey had 10, and Keshon Gilbert had seven points and eight assists.
