(Waukon) One person died, and two others suffered injuries in a motorcycle- SUV crash in the extreme northeast Iowa’s Allamakee County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Saturday at Highway 9 and 9th Street, southwest of Waukon, Iowa. Authorities say the driver of the motorcycle, 37-year-old Adam J. Green of Sumner, Iowa, died in the crash. Officials identified the two injured individuals as 56-year-old Julie A. Geerts of West Union and 18-year-old Keira J. Miller of Waukon.
According to the report, Green’s motorcycle failed to yield as he attempted to turn left onto 9th Street Southwest and collided with Miller’s westbound SUV in the westbound lane of Highway 9.
The Waukon Fire Department, Iowa DOT, Waukon Police Department, Allamakee Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa DNR assisted the Iowa State Patrol.
