(Atlantic) On Monday, the Atlantic Softball program recognized Sara and Paul Wood for their unwavering commitment to the success and growth of the softball program.
According to the press release, longstanding Atlantic Little League board members Sara and Paul have tirelessly worked to enhance facilities and strengthen the organization. Sara currently serves as the general manager of the Southwest Iowa Raptors Softball Club, managing finances, rosters, tournament registrations, and fostering communication with state and national USSSA organizations. Additionally, Sara’s volunteer efforts with the Trojan Softball Team include organizing post-game meals, handling financial logistics for tournaments, and ensuring memorable player experiences.
Paul’s impact on the Trojan Softball program is equally remarkable. He spearheaded the transformation of a warehouse into an indoor practice facility, overseeing the installation of batting cages, netting, fencing, lighting, and turf. His dedication extends to meticulously preparing the field as part of the parent grounds crew before every varsity home game, and his commitment transcends seasons, evident in his recent reconstruction of pitching, batting, and bullpen areas.
The Trojan Softball family thanks Sara and Paul for their invaluable contributions.
