(Fayetteville, AR) – Northwest Missouri State will have to start erasing old records and putting down new ones. Senior Tiffany Hughey destroyed the former school record in the 400m dash and set her new personal best in the 200m dash.
At the John McDonnell Invitational, Hughey was able to demolish the school record in the 400m dash with a time of 52.74 which ranks third in Division II. In the 200m dash, she set her personal best time at 23.66 while claiming tenth place. This time marks second in the record books for the event, just .41 seconds away from tying the record.
These record-breaking times were able to mark a spot for the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor provisional times. The Bearcats return to action today (April 21st) for a meet at home.
