Atlantic Girls Sixth ACGC Eighth at D-C-G Invitational Cross Country Meet

(Grimes) The Atlantic girls finished sixth, and ACGC finished seventh at Tuesday’s Dallas Center-Grimes Cross Country Meet.

In the girls’ meet, Dallas Center-Grimes won the team title with 30 points, Indianola, 58; Des Moines, Christian, 125; Van Meter, 130, Waverly-Shell Rock, 144, Atlantic, 166; Carlisle, 178; ACGC, 189; Winterset, 219, and Bondurant-Farrar, 236.

Claire Pellett finished eighth overall for the Trojans; Belle Berg, 21; Katrina Williams, 33; Avery Nicholas, 47; Mariah Huffman, 57; Mckenna Schroeder, 58; and Ella Brummer, 63.

Ava Campbell led ACGC with a 19th place finish; Adalyn Benson, 36; Hayden Coffman, 37; Cadence Petersen, 38; Emerson Van Meter, 59; Paige Van Meter, 66; and Katelyn Schafer, 67th.

Pipper Messerly of Dallas Center-Grimes won the individual title in 19:29.
