(Maryville) Atlantic alum Taylor McCreedy is looking forward to her new venture in cross country and track at Northwest Missouri State University.
After a successful junior college career at Iowa Central Community College, where she is an eight-time Junior College All-American, she is taking her talents to the next level. McCreedy has followed a structured workout schedule this summer.
After the cross-country season, in the fall, McCreedy will run the 3,000 indoors, possibly the mile and 5K. McCreedy will be running the Steeplechase outdoors and either the 1500 or 5K. Her favorite race is the Steeplechase.
McCreedy was an eight-time Junior College All-American at Iowa Central-three-times in cross country/half marathon, four-time All-American indoors, and one time outdoors.
McCreedy credits the mileage she ran to her junior college success as well.
McCreedy heads to the campus on August 12.
The cross-country season starts on September 1 at the Griffon Highlight in St. Joseph, Missouri.
