(Cedar Falls) Ten southwest Iowa athletes were members of the South Team at the 51st Iowa Shrine Bowl All-Star Classic on Saturday at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. The game featured 92 top football players in the State of Iowa. The game raises money for the Midwest orthopedic hospitals and burn centers and each Shrine Center’s Transportation fund to transport patients to and from hospitals and clinics.
The North won the game 29-15.
Among the athletes selected to participate were Derek Scheuring (Denison-Schleswig), Alexis Manzo (Missouri Valley), Sage Evans (West Harrison), Stephen Leinen (Harlan), Keigan Kitzman (Lenox), Beau Knobloch (Winterset), Jaydon Knight (Mount Ayr), Tadyn Brown (Clarinda), Aidan Hall (Harlan), and Brenden Casey (Atlantic).
