(Clive, IA) An Eastern Iowa man who got engaged one day won nearly half-a-million dollars the day after. Thirty-one-year-old Nick Miller of Bernard a small town outside Dubuque, says he bought the winning Super 7s ticket when he stopped to get a piece of breakfast pizza at a local Casey’s. Miller says he was checking the numbers, and they matched. So he did a double-take and checked the numbers again. Then, Miller says he still didn’t quite believe it, so he checked the numbers a third time online. He won 390 thousand dollars.
