(Greenfield) Griswold defeated Nodaway Valley 7-1 in a high school softball game at Greenfield on Thursday night. Karly Millikan earned the win in the circle, breaking the school record for strikeouts in a game with 18, while allowing three hits and one walk.
Marissa Askeland, Karly Millikan and Abby Gohlinghorst each had two hits with Millikan and Gohlinghorst hitting a double. Makenna Askeland and Whitney Pennock each added a hit. Marissa Askeland scored three runs and drove in a runner. Millikan and Whitney Pennock each had two RBI.
Liv Laughery led Nodaway Valley offensively with two hits, and Kynnady Van Eaton stroked one hit and scored a run.
