(Oakland) The 4X100, 4X200, and Vernonica Andrusyshyn in the 100M Hurdles are events the Riverside girls are hoping to get into the Drake Relays.
Thursday (4/20) marks the final day of competition to set a qualifying mark. The Lady Dawgs will be at the Council Bluffs Invite with the likes of Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Glenwood, Harlan, Lewis Central, Logan-Magnolia, St. Albert, Treynor, and Underwood. Coach Jared Hoffman says, “We are looking forward to heading over to Council Bluffs. We are taking just small group. We are working on trying to get some times down for Drake.”
The 4X100 Relay has turned in a 51.56 with Elly Henderson, Lydia Erickson, Emma Gordon, and Veronica Andrusyshyn. They have the 54th best time in the state thus far.
The 4X200 is made up of Veronica Andrusyshyn, Carly Henderson, Elly Henderson, and Lydia Erickson. They have the 21st best time so far at 1:47.41.
Andrusyshyn has run 16.10 in the 100M Hurdles, ranking 38th in the state.
96 teams qualify in the 4X100, 24 in the 4X200, and 32 in the 100M Hurdles. The Drake Relays are April 26th-29th in Des Moines.
