(Denison) Lewis Central won seven events and captured the team title with 164-50 points at the Hawkeye Ten Conference Boy’s North Relays on Thursday at Denison. Atlantic earned gold in three events and finished second in three others and scored 101; Kuemper, Catholic finished third with 90; Harlan, fourth, 85; Denison-Schleswig, fifth, 75, and St. Albert finished sixth with 60.50 points.
The Titans earned top finishes from Ethan Eichhorn in the 1600 (4:36.43), Kade Diercks in the 3200 (10:18.11), and Braylon Kammrad in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of (1:00.23). Lewis Central also won titles in the 800 Sprint Medley (12:39.06), Distance Medley (3:44.17), 4×400 meter relay (3:37.50), and Parker Matiyow in the Shot Put (47-07.50).
Jackson McLaren won the 110 Meter Hurdles for Atlantic in a time of (15.04), and the quad of McLaren, Colton Rasmussen, Alex Keiser, and Easton O’Brien won the Shuttle Hurdle Relay in a time of (1:05.38). Devon Fields finished second in the 400 meters (55.71), Colton Rasmussen ran runner-up in the 110 Meter Hurdles (16.72), and Jayden Proehl and Rasmussen finished second and third in the High Jump, going (5-10-.00), and (J5-10.00), respectively.
Harlan’s Will Neuharth and Aiden Hall scored big for the Cyclones in the sprints. Neuharth won the 100 meters in a time of (10.82); Hall ran second in (11.14). The tandem finished first and second in the 200 meters in times of (21.83), and (22.55). The quad of Lukas Francis, Brehden Eggerss, Jacob Birch, and Hall won the 4×100 meter relay in (44.31), and Francis, Birch, Neuharth, and Hall won the 4×200 meter relay in a time of (1:33.32).
The other event winners were; Chandler Perrien, Denison-Schleswig in the 400 meters (55.54), Parker Heisterkamp in the 800 (2:06.41), St. Albert in the 4×800 (8:55.61), and Benjamin Gerken, Kuemper, in the High Jump,(5-11.00), and Long Jump, (20-01.00). Evan Adams won the Discus with a throw of (152-07).
