(Marion) Aiden Smith captured the individual title at 113, and Atlantic finished third at the 15-team Lloyd Shafter Wrestling Invite at Marion on Saturday.
In the title match, Aiden Smith won by an 18-4 major decision over Austin Etzel of Wilton. The Trojans placed nine others in the tourney, including five third-place medals. Braxton Hass (106), Jarrett Armstrong (170), Nathan Keiser (195), Miles Mundorf (220), and Evan Sorensen (285). Placing fifth was; Brenden Casey (182) and Tanner O’Brien (152). Tyson O’Brien (145), and Brent Masker (160), scored seventh-place finishes.
