(Urbandale) Atlantic’s volleyball season ended Wednesday night at the hands of top-rated Des Moines Christian in three sets. The Lions downed the Trojans (25-18, 25-16,25-14).
Atlantic Head Coach Michelle Blake knew they would have to play near-perfect volleyball to get by Des Moines Christian.
Coach Blake says goodbye to eight talented seniors, Ava Rush, Lexi Knoelck, Aubrey Guyer, Chloe Mullenix, Jada Jensen, Abby Smith, Keira Olson, and Brook Vandevanter.
Des Moines Christian Head Coach Matthew Thompson says he knew they would have to play well to defeat Atlantic.
Coach Thompson was pleased with his team’s ball control and offensive speed.
The Lions pushed their record to (44-4) on the season and face (26-12) Van Meter in a Regional Final on Tuesday, October 25.
