Iowa State Patrol Investigating Serious Bicycle Crash in Floyd County

(Floyd County) A bicyclist suffered serious injuries as a result of a collision with a pickup in Floyd County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Monday, at around 11:12 a.m., on 220th Street and Walnut Avenue. Authorities say 77-year-old Robert Joseph Krueger of Charles City was transported by MercyOne AirMed to MercyOne Hospital in Mason City. The driver of the 2018 Ford F150 pickup, identified as 79-year-old Robert Leon Mehmen, was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
