(Des Moines) A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for southern Iowa today. The advisory is for the counties south of Interstate 80 until 6:00 p.m. this evening.
Light snow is expected over southern Iowa today, creating some areas of slick travel conditions and reduced visibility. Snowfall should gradually taper off from west to east during the afternoon hours. The highest snowfall totals of up to 3 inches are possible near the Missouri border.
